Are support and training included in the cost of the system?
Yes. Support and training are included at no additional cost. Icon Systems provides in-depth Getting Started guides for each area of the system, all accessible directly within the software.
Users can also contact our support team by phone or email for assistance and take advantage of free training webinars, available in both one-on-one and group formats.
Live support hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CST.
Can I customize the system?
Yes. The system offers a high degree of flexibility with extensive customization options across multiple areas. Core components such as groups, talents, and attendance can be tailored to fit your organization’s specific needs.
In addition, many drop-down lists are fully customizable, including status codes, phone and email types, relationships, gender, milestones, funds, and more. Alongside a robust set of standard reports, the software also supports flexible custom reporting.
These customization features help organizations maintain accurate data, support unique workflows, and adapt the system to their operational requirements.
How does Icon Systems’ pricing work?
Icon Systems’ pricing is designed to be simple and scalable, allowing you to choose only what your organization needs.

Can multiple users be logged in at the same time with role-based access?
Yes. With the standard package, you can have up to 5 users with different roles, and unlimited users in the premium package.
User accounts can be individually configured with role-based permissions, allowing you to control exactly what each user can view or edit. Permission levels include Read, Read-Write, and No Access for each area of the system, ensuring appropriate access and data security.
Is Icon Systems software a true web-based system?
Yes. Unlike many software packages, Icon Software was developed (1999 – 2002) from the ground up to work on the web. It is a pure SaaS (Software as a Service) system where we update the software so your organization doesn’t have to. All you need is an Internet-connected computer and a web browser. In other words, you could be sipping on your favorite blend at the local coffee shop while updating your organization’s membership records, recording contributions, or entering accounting transactions.
The software architecture is very important to understand and facilitates the organization’s direction in its software selection. A majority of organizations are moving to a true web-based solution as leaders are warming up to the idea of having the organization’s data in the cloud. Some software solutions are truly web-based, meaning they work within the Internet browser, whereas others may look web-based but aren’t.
Many times, organizations that are looking for a true web-based system settle for a hybrid software solution, where part of the system runs on the Internet or operates through a 3rd-party interface to display information to the user. Because the software provider must pay a licensing fee to companies like Citrix based on the number of people accessing the interface simultaneously, this increases the organization’s cost. One way to find out if the software is a true Internet-based solution is to check whether it works on any Operating System (Linux, Windows, Mac, Unix, etc.).
